THE PROFILES ON THIS PAGE ARE FOR THE FANFICTION BY RINOAFREAK, THEREFORE APPLYING ONLY TO THE CONTINUITY IN HER FANFICTION. MWAHAHAHA. Rinoafreak: Sephiroth, would you PLEASE stop typing like that and read the dang profiles? Sephiroth: "If you insist, oh Webmistress of Webmistresses." ::snicker:: Rinoafreak: Hey... where'd my monitor go? I can't see what I'm typing! Well, regardless of what I can or can't see, you might as well take a look at the profiles! But watch out for Sephy, he's liable to try to dump my monitor on you. **Disclaimer: I did not create the world of Final Fantasy 7, nor did I create the characters therin, nor did I create anything from any other Final Fantasy game! Squaresoft did all of those things, and I am quite happy that they did so. I don't get anything from this page but fun, fun, fun!!!! And practice at writing, which is always a good thing.**. |

Sephiroth Name: Sephiroth (Valentine should be his last name, if you ask me ;) Age: 31 at the beginning of Does Death, Alone, Bring Freedom? Eyes: Aquatic green-blue Hair: Silver, waist-length Height: 6'1'' Weapon: The Masamune (a blade of darkness. At six feet long, it is the heaviest sword ever forged for a human to weild. Eight materia slots.) Occupation: He was first a member of Shinra's elite military group SOLDIER, then its top General. When he lost his mind, I suppose you could say he was a "killer." :) Now, in Does Death, Alone, Bring Freedom?, he becomes part of Cloud's group. Hometown: Midgar/Shinra building Training: Sephiroth was trained to become a SOLDIER since childhood, probably by Shinra employees who were in the military part of it themselves. As a result of his nearly constant training, he is the best swordsman and magic user alive, and has extensive knowledge of other weapons and military tactics. He also has extensive emotional training, but that combined with a fear of contact with other people has caused him to have immese psychological problems associated with people getting too close to him. Personality: Sephiroth has so many phobias that he comes off as cold and uncaring to everyone who meets him, or even sees him. He doesn't mind, most of the time, since most of his problems have to do with people. They frighten him if they make an attempt t make more contact with him than is necessary, and he retaliates by pushing them away somehow -- sometimes violently, sometimes with well-placed harsh words. He normally does not regret this at all, since he believes that those people are just trying to take advantage of him, anyway. That is an attitude left over from a childhood filled with nothing but scientists running tests on him, and his training. Although he often wishes he had a real friend, or at least someone who could tolerate his presence, he feels too isolated from other people to do anything about it. (These profiles are all for the beginning of my ongoing fanfic, not later in it, so everything later is a surprise! haha :). Summary of Character's Past: Sephiroth's mother, Lucrecia, died just after giving birth to him, and her husband, Hojo the scientist, had him locked away throughout his childhood for observation. Sephiroth's only contact with people were the cold scientists who tested him, his instructors, and perhaps someone who took care of his necessities when he was small. He joined the military elite group SOLDIER, and quickly rose to its top rank. he snapped one day in a town called Nibelheim, burned the place down, and tried to free his "mother" Jenova. Cloud stopped him, however, to hurling him from a brigde in a reactor into the Lifestream. 5 years later, he re-appeared, and attempted to destroy the Planet by summoning Meteor -- a spell so powerful that only Holy could counter it, and even it needed help. After Avalanche defeated him, Holy removed Jenova's cells from his body so he could regain his sanity, and help Avalanche face a crisis that was to come. |

Cloud Name: Cloud Strife Age: 22 Eyes: Bright, Mako blue Hair: Blond Height: 5'7'' Weapon: A very large sword (almost five feet in length, and very broad.) Occupation: One of Shinra's soldiers, but not a member of the military group SOLDIER. Later, a hired mercenary, then the leader of Avalanche. Hometown: Nibelheim Training: Some limited training as one of Shinra's foosoldiers, mostly with a gun. Now, however, he has split personality syndrome and actually remembers sword training he never had ;). Personality: Cloud is a nutcase. He's never sure of who he really is, and can barely remember his past, thanks to his being the subject of a failed experiment with Jenova cells. He often seems confused, or like he is hiding something just beneath the surface. Every once in a while, he snaps, frightening his close friends with a wild display of anger or fear. The Cloud he once was hides under the surface of the more impenetrable one, lonely and afraid of what others think of him. Cloud, in general, is a good person, though, who always tries to do what seems right to him at the moment, and tries to be a responsible leader. Summary of Past: Cloud was a loner as a child, always believing himself to be different from the other children, because they never let him play with them. He liked a girl in his town named Tifa, but she played with bigger boys than him, and he wanted to show her that he could be strong, too. So, he joined Shinra's military in an attempt to make it into SOLDIER. At that time, he was 14. He never made it, and the one time he returned to his hometown, Sephiroth burnt it to the ground, killing Cloud's mother. After killing Sephiroth, Cloud was experimented on by Hojo, along with his SOLDIER friend, Zack. The experiment ruined Cloud's memory, but he and Zack managed to escape and get as far as Midgar before Zack was shot down. Cloud took up Zack's sword, and his personality as well, becoming a hired mercenary and supposed ex-SOLDIER. He was hired by Avalanche to help in the fight against Shinra, and he eventually became their leader on a quest to save the very Planet from Sephiroth and Jenova. Avalanche defeated Jenova and Sephiroth, and freed Holy, and now Cloud has disappeared into the Northern Crater. |

Tifa Name: Tifa Lockheart Age: 21 Eyes: chestnut brown Hair: dark brown Height: 5'4" Weapon: Gloves / Martial Arts Occupation: As a young girl, she was a guide on Mt. Nibel, near Nibelheim. When she moved to Midgar, she opened a bar called "7th Heaven" and ran it, then became a member of the Shinra- opposed faction Avalanche. Hometown: Nibelheim Training: A master named Zangan taught Tifa the martial arts when she was an adolescent, and she has extensive experience in mountain climbing and wilderness survival. Personality: Tifa is a generally cheerful, but realistic, person, who knows how to solve things both with her fists and her brains... though her fists do most of the talking when she is angry. Having lost most of the things she held dear early in life, Tifa tends to be obsessive -- holding on to anything she can find as hard as she can, and having a rather resentful temper toward people or things that pain her. Summary of Past: Tifa lived in Nibelheim until she was 15. She grew up with plenty of friends, most of which were male, and she lost her mother at a young age. Tifa knew a boy named Cloud in town, who was often picked on by her bigger and stronger friends, but she mostly ignored it, and him. When Cloud left to join SOLDIER, however, Tifa became fixated on him, constantly scanning newspapers and other media sources for news on how he was doing. Perhaps this was because most of her friends had already left town, in search of jobs. When she was 15, Sephiroth, Zack, and Cloud, along with another Shinra employee, came to Nibelheim on a simple mission, but Cloud hid behind the Shinra mask, ashamed that he had not made it as a member of SOLDIER. Sephiroth snapped, destroyed Nibelheim, killed Tifa's father and nearly killed Tifa, Zack and Cloud, and ended up dying himself at Cloud's hands. Zangan carried Tifa away, helped her heal from her wounds, and ended up taking her to Midgar for further treatment. There, Tifa opened the bar, "7th Heaven," and joined Barret in his group Avalanche in an attempt to revenge herself upon the Shinra, who had taken everything from her. |

Aeris Name: Aeris Gainsborough (although that would be her adopted mother's last name...we don't know what her real last one would be.) Age: Technically, 23 at the start of Does Death, Alone, Bring Freedom?, but physically 22 since she's been dead for a while :) Eyes: Emerald green Hair: light brown Height: 5'3" Weapon: Staff Occupation: At first, she sells flowers and tends the plants in the Sector 6 slums, but later she joins Avalanche and speaks to the Planet. Later, heehee, in Does Death...etc., she becomes "The Protector." Well, she realizes that she is it, anyway :) Hometown: Well...that's a tough one. In my story, Ifalna (her mother) is originally from Cosmo Canyon, but Aeris is actually born in Winter Town. Aeris would have spent at least the first two or so years of her life in the Shinra laboratory in Midgar. Then, she and her mother escaped, though her mother died a probable short while later, leaving her in the care of Elmyra Gainsborough, a soon-to-be widowed woman. So, Aeris grew up in Midgar... I suppose you could say that was her hometown. Training: Absolutely none :) Unless you count her ancestors telling her how to use the Holy Materia. Personality: An unusual person to say the least, Aeris always gives of herself without expecting anything in return. She feels satisfied when she has done something helpful, no matter how small, and can feel compassion for just about everyone she meets. She detests physical fighting, preferring healing, protective, and status magic over more violent attacks. She often becomes frightened in battle situations, but does her best to stay calm and use her protective powers to aid her teammates. As a Cetra, she has the ability to speak with the Planet, and aid it as its Protector. Before her resurrection, she was always a bright and cheery person, who always believed that things would turn out for the best. Afterwards, however, she became somewhat shocked, and gained a sort of sorrow in her personality that she had never experienced before, and added something totally new for her to deal with. Summary of Past: After her mother gave Aeris over to Elmyra's care, Aeris led a somewhat sheltered life until she started selling flowers in teh slums for money. Tseng constantly visited her, hoping to win her cooperation with the Shinra, but he respected her wish to stay with her foster-mother, and even became fond of her. It was Reno of the Turks who later tried to kidnap her from the Church in the slums, and Tseng finally did so himself when Aeris was 22. Aeris joined Avalanche on their journey to protect the Planet after they rescued her from the Shinra Building. Aeris died at the hands of the first Sephiroth clone (which was being manipulated by Jenova and the demented Sephiroth) after summoning Holy. Holy itself revived her several months later, and she has re-joined Cloud's team. |

Vincent Name: Vincent Valentine Age: Biologically 27, Chronilogically 58 Eyes: Red (were brown, once...) Hair: Black Height: 6'0" Weapon: Turk-issue handgun, claw-arm, his other forms. Occupation: Former Turk member, now a member of Avalanche, and its leader in Cloud's absence (for a little while). Hometown: Attsonville (a small town near Rocket Town, where many of its mechanics came from). Training: Once he left Attsonville in search of something more, he ended up in Midgar, and applied for a position in the powerful company Shinra Inc. He ended up being trained as a Turk -- with firearms of many kinds, as well as bodyguard training and spying. Personality: Vincent is perhaps the most mysterious Avalanche member. His silent, brooding attitude can instill both fear and curiosity in those around him. Those who try to know him better find a compasstionate, yet guilt-ridden man beneath his cold exterior. He blames himself for everything that goes wrong, both in his life and everyone else's. He thinks far more that is healthy for anyone, especially since he thinks of little but his past, and the memories which pain him the most. Summary of Past: Vincent grew up in a small town called Attsonville, before the Shinra Space program had been launched and the town gained some prosperity. As a youth of 17 years, he left Attsonville in the hope of finding something worth living for -- even then he was a depresse person, if only because he did not feel like his life meant anything worthwhile. He was a normal person, although quite adept at thinking. He eventually reached Midgar, about a year later, and applied for a job in Shinra, thinking he could gain some peace of mind by working for the most powerful corporation on the Planet. Those who reviewed him immediately realized that Vincent, with his perpetually dark state of mind, would do well as a Turk -- he would keep his mouth shut, and do what he was told in order to make something of himself. His training as a Turk therefore began, and was completed. Once he had been working as a Turk for a while, he met a woman named Lucrecia -- a scientist also employed by Shinra -- and fell in love with her. Although she was also in love with -- and eventually married to -- Hojo, she seemed receptive to him, and they had a long-lasting affair without Hojo's knowledge, at least at first. This relationship, though special to him, hurt him deeply, scarring him more than anything ever had before, because she always chose Hojo over him although he tried to get her to run away with him multiple times. This affair lasted for years, and Lucrecia eventually became pregnant with Sephiroth, whom I believe to be Vincent's son -- not Hojo's. Hojo had plans for the child, however. Lucrecia allowed him to treat her womb with Jenova cells in order to create the perfect soldier, and she died in childbirth. Vincent, infuriated and nearly broken by her death, concentrated all that was left of his heart on the newborn Sephiroth, and tried to coerce Hojo into letting the child lead a normal childhood with him. Hojo argued with Vincent, and ended up shooting him, then experimenting on his body and locking him in Shinra basement for thirty years. Now, Vincent is awake, wondering if Sephiroth is his son, and trying not to feel attraction toward anyone...especially Tifa. He leads Avalanche in Cloud's absence at first. |

GAHTIKAHTE *This character, Gahtikahte, is an original character created by me, Rinoafreak. The setting in which I have placed him, however, is the Final Fantasy 7 world, which is property of Squaresoft. The disclaimer is at the top of this page :).* Note: This profile contains more information than the others because the character is original, and therefore, I feel I should describe him more precisely. Name: Gahtikahte Age: about 2000, technically, but is now 54, biologically. Eyes: holographic (change colors depending on position) Hair: Actually, a fur-like covering over his body -- mostly black, some red, dark blue, and grey coloring in places. Height: 5'1" Weapon: diamond-hard retractible claws, and his inherant magic. Limit Breaks: Level 1: Flame Claw - a fire-elemental swipe of Gahtikahte's claws, damages 1 enemy. Fire Swipe - a fire-elemental swipe of Gahtikahte's claws, damages all enemies. Level 2: Tectonics - the ground under the enemies splits, and molten lava flows at their feet, damaging them. Magma Tsunami - A huge wave of hot, liquid magma crashes into all enemies, damaging them. As it receeds, Gahtikahte's allies sustain minor damages from its heat, but it heals Gahtikahte tremendously. Level 3: Blazing Fury - Gahtikahte attacks all foes randomly, causing major fire-based damage with multiple swipes of his claws. Volcano - a new volcano bursts from the ground and erupts, sending molten material from the Planet's core as well as volcanic ash raining down on all enemies. Level 4, Ultimate Limit: Merton - (those of you who have played FF3, also called FF6, will know what this is) Gahtikahte causes devastating, and often fatal, damage to all foes with a prolnged barrage of fiery energy - deadly to ice-elementals unless they are extremely strong. Occupation: Before his entombment near the Northern Crater, he was a powerful Sorceror -- one of the Protector's knights (for lack of a better term). When revived 30 years ago, he was a specimen in Hojo's lab, until Sephiroth helped him escape. He existed in an active volcano until Jenova awakened. At that time, he emerged and began to wander the Planet, searching for her. Eventually, after the destruction of Meteor, he senses Aeris' presence and finds Cloud's team, and he becomes a tentative member of Avalanche -- and a knight of the new Protector. Hometown: The City of the Ancients Training: extensive training in the use of his inherant magic by Sages of the Cetra civilization, and the Protector herself. Also some training in the arts of empathy and telekinesis. He uses his claws instinctually. Personality: Gahtikahte's frightening appearance makes it seem as if he is incapable of emotion, or any kind of compassion, although he is actually an empath, meaning he can register the feelings of others, and occassionally create a mental, emotional bond between himself and another, or even two others to each other. He, however, has been trained not to allow emotions to enter him or vice versa, unless necessary in order to keep him from buckling under the pressure of overpowering emotions which are not his own. 2000 years ago, he was respected as the most powerful magic-user alive, with the exception of the Protector, and was her most faithful guardian. Now, however, he is feared because of his monster-like appearance, and tends to be suspicious of everyone around him. Once befriended, however, Gahtikahte is extremely loyal, and careful with the lives of his companions. He is the only being alive who does not contain Jenova cells who can use incredibly powerful magic without materia. He can withstand hot temperatures which would kill a human, but is easily rendered helpless by the cold. Gahtikahte is always confident, but knows his limitations, and the limitations of those around him. He has, however, been known to become extraordinarily rash when desperate. Summary of Past: Gahtikahte is an ancestor of members of the khutheAtmagt people who decided to leave their volcanic home-planet in order to accompany and protect the Cetra on their journey from planet to planet, far back into the ages of time (note-- they all didn't leave, only some of them did ). The khutheAtmagt are one of the few intelligent species who, like the Cetra, have natural magical powers. They do not, however, speak to the planets like the Cetra do. The khuthe are an empathic race, meaning they can sense each others feelings and reactions to things -- this also means that they can feel when a planet is in turmoil, although they cannot actually speak to it. As a result, they are a very graceful people, relying more on body language and physical contact than on spoken words. The Cetra and the khuthe were ideal as companion races for these reasons and more. Because of their immense magical powers, as well as their abilit to form mental bonds with other creatures, the role of the Protector's guardian, or knight, soon became a traditional role for the khuthe. Because of his unusually strong magical powers, Gahtikahte assumed this role at the age of 19, during the lifetime of the last Protector before the fall of the Cetra civlilization on this Planet. He was the Protector's friend and student, and because of his loyalties to her, he did not accompany the powerful magicians who went to confront the Crisis from the Sky just after its fall. However, he did go with the second mission to the Northern Crater after the downfall of the Cetra civilization, to contain Jenova. The mission was successful, but Gahtikahte was wounded and could not escape the huge field of the containment spell before it took hold (more than a mile). Thus, he was frozen in time until Shinra excavations uncovered and awakened him approximately 2000 years later. He was held in Lucrecia's lab, briefly, where he learned some of the modern language, but Hojo eventually locked him up and began treating him as a specimen. Once Gahtikahte escaped with Sephiroth's help, he found hiself feared by the now entirely human population, and hid himself away in the comfortably hot innards of an active volcano on the Mideel continent. Being an empath, however, he sensed the Planet's uneasiness when Jenova became free 24 years later, and finally began to travel accross the Planet in search of Jenova. After the destruction of Meteor, he found himself drawn to the presence of one who feels like a Protector. He seeks her out and finds her, eventually becoming a tentative member of Avalanche.
For all you Fan Artists out there: If you would like to draw a picture of Gahtikahte, I would be VERY grateful... if you want to, and you would like me to put it up, please e-mail me at rinoafreak@gmail.com and we'll work it out! Happy drawing! |
